Super Visa
The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa was created to replace the lengthy sponsorship process for permanent residence so that family members may be reunited more quickly (the family class sponsorship program). The applicant may include a spouse or common law partner under the Super Visa but may not include dependents.
The Super Visa for Canada allows parents or grandparents to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time. It’s a visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years. To be eligible for a super visa, you must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
Requirements
Letter of invitation
A letter of invitation from your child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
Proof of relationship
Proof of your relationship to your child or grandchild (who must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident), such as a copy of their birth certificate.
Minimum necessary income (MNI)
Proof that your child or grandchild’s household meets the minimum necessary income base on Low-Income-Cut-Off(LICO) of members in the family.
Medical insurance
Proof of payment for medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company of at-least CAD$ 100,000.00 for one year for health care, hospitalisation, and repatriation and that is valid for re-entry and available for review by the officer at the POE
Immigration medical exam
A document confirming that you had an immigration medical exam
