Steps
Determine eligibility
Meet the eligibility criteria for one of the federal economic immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program,
- Federal Skilled Trades Program or
- Canadian Experience Class
Create an online profile
Create an online Express Entry profile and provide information about skills, work experience, language ability, education and other details
Enter the pool
Candidates who meet the criteria are placed in a pool and ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
To calculate your CRS score, you must first know how CRS points are calculated. The maximum points you can get is 1200. The selection factors include education, age, language proficiency, and others. You will need your language test results and if your degree is not Canadian, your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

Receive an invitation to apply
The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence through regular draws
Submit an application for permanent residence
Complete and submit an electronic application for permanent residence within 60 days of receiving an invitation to apply (ITA)
- Register with Job Bank Canada

If you’re a Skilled Tradesperson apply for Red Seal Challenge

If you’re a regulated Professional apply for the local Canadian equivalent registration and regulation

Start applying for Jobs in Canada. Make sure you’re doing everything possible to Immigrate to Canada without a Job Offer
- Work to increase your English or French language skills results
NOTE :
- On November 16, 2022, Canada switched to the **2021 version** of the National Occupational Classification (NOC). If you have already submitted a profile but have not been sent an invitation to apply (ITA), you must search for your occupation under the NOC 2021 list.
- If you are applying through Express Entry as a provincial nominee and your nomination certificate has a 5-digit NOC code, you must submit your Express Entry profile using your **5-digit NOC 2021 code**. If your nomination certificate has a 4-digit NOC code, you must use **NOC code 93888** in every NOC field of your Express Entry profile.
- On November 16, 2022; National occupation Classification Version 2021 replaced the earlier version of 2016.
- All prospective immigrants would need to ascertain their respective NOC codes based on the new version.

- CLB10: 34*4=136 points
- CLB9: 31*4=124 points
- CLB8: 23*4=92 points
- CLB8: 17*4=68 points
- difference between clb10 & clb9 is 12 points
- difference between clb10 & clb8 is 44 points
- difference between clb10 & clb7 is 68 points
